Custom Gate

Customize the size, position, and shape of the gate to create a more refined and tailored VR workspace.

What is custom gate?

While still being in VR, a gate refers to an area that allows interaction with the real world. In Mixed mode, you can use either the hand/controller gate or the central gate. Additionally, there is a custom gate feature that lets you adjust the size and position of the gate to your preference.

How to find custom gate:

1. Click the "Desk" button from the main menu.

2. In the Vision tab, look for Custom Gate.

Create custom gate

1. Click number button in vision panel : Navigate to the vision panel and find custom gate section. and click the number button to create a custom gate.

2. Draw the custom gate: Use the first click to set the starting point and the second click to set the ending point, drawing a rectangular custom gate.

3. Confirm gate size and position: Click the "Done" button to confirm the size and position of the gate. Use the "Cancel" or "Reset" buttons to either discard the gate or redraw it.

On/Off custom gate

Up to five custom gates are supported, and the vision panel has numbered buttons that correspond to the number of custom gates. These buttons are initially used to create the corresponding custom gates, but after creation, they serve as on/off toggles. Additionally, for user convenience, the off function has also been added to the custom gate sidebar.

1. Create the custom gate: Follow the steps to create a custom gate as described above.

2. Toggle On/Off: Once the custom gate is created, press the number button in the vision panel or the "Hide" button in the custom gate side bar menu to turn the gate on or off as needed.

Lock custom gate

When working on your PC, custom gates may sometimes be activated and moved by the controller or your hands. To prevent this, we have included a "Lock" button that combines both monitor lock and custom gate lock functions. If you use custom gates, we highly recommend this feature.

1. Move the custom gate: Position the custom gate to your desired location.

2. Lock the custom gate: Press the "Lock" button in the hand menu. This action will lock the custom gate, ensuring it remains fixed in its current position.

Change custom gate shape

1. Open sidebar menu: Navigate to the custom gate sidebar menu.

2. Choose shape: You can change the shape of the gate to either a square or a circle. Toggle the "Shape" button to select the shape that best suits your needs.
