# XR Pen

**When to use XR Pen?**

1. **Visualize Complex Ideas**\
   Sketch or draw directly in VR to turn abstract concepts into clear visuals, making ideas easier to understand and share.
2. **Enhance Mind Maps**\
   Use XR Pen to add links and notes to your mind maps, helping you organize thoughts and build real-time connections.
3. **Annotate and Illustrate**\
   Enrich your notes with diagrams, charts, and illustrations using XR Pen, transforming plain text into engaging content.

## Enter and Exit XR Pen Mode

The XR Pen mode can be entered and exited by pressing the B button on the right controller (or the Y button on the left controller for left-handed mode).

* The <mark style="color:red;">**XR Pen entry button appears when the PC is connected**</mark>. Once connected, the XR Pen objects will be loaded, and they will disappear when disconnected.
* Switching to left hand mode is not possible while in pen mode. it can only be done after exiting pen mode.

## Drawing

Once XR Pen mode is activated, press the **trigger button** to start drawing.

### Size adjustment (Thumbstick up/down control)

* You can adjust the area size of the Pen, Eraser, and Select tools, with five levels of adjustment available.

### Undo/Redo (Thumbstick right/left control)

* Use the thumbstick to quickly undo or redo your last action.

### Straight line/circle gesture (Thumbstick press)

Hold the trigger button to draw a straight line. To draw a circle, extend the line to a certain length and then curve it back to the starting point to complete the shape.

### Move pen object

You can grab the pen object with the grip button and move its position.

## Tools

Press and hold the Tools(A) button on the controller and move left or right to select the tool.

### Eraser

### Select

The Select tool allows you to choose one or more pen objects to move or group them together. If you want to deselect the objects, simply double-click the trigger button in empty space.

### Group / Ungroup (thumbstick press)

* When pen objects are selected, press the thumbstick to group them.
* For grouped objects, press again to ungroup.
